Changing our entire system is a huge undertaking! However, it's even more challenging to keep cleaning it up! Changing to more soul-honoring models is where our spiritual destiny lies. When we identify the oppressor and get back in touch with our souls, we engage in the best and highest we can do, for ourselves and for our children. Dominator systems do NOT want us to be who we are. It proves inconvenient because these systems want us to be who they tell us to be. Our creativity is not wanted. Our obedience is. Our true self is not wanted. Our traumatized selves are.

The time has arrived to stretch our conscious awareness to conceive of new ways of experiencing this physical existence. We can make a difference in our lives both personally and collectively. It is in our power to create a culture of beauty, peace, harmony and joy as we each affirm our role in the healing process. If we allow ourselves to be guided by our own independent, free thought, then we recognize that our authority comes from within. There is no need to wait for some institution to give us the permission to pioneer change in our own lives. Many of us are more aware that we need to heal and nourish our spirit, physical, mental and emotional bodies as we begin to function multi-dimensionally as co-creators of harmony, love, happiness and peace.

A heavy programming of reward and punishment was thrust on us from our earliest years (as well as other deep psychological programming). We consistently see a pervasive mindset of control and domination permeating our cultural institutions, a mindset driven by the fear of chaos. We have been led to believe that if some authority or some power doesn't control us, we will fall into confusion. It is no wonder that many of us find ourselves controlling our children from morning to night using the same strategies like rewards and punishments. Our babies are hungry to learn, but when rewards are introduced, we send them the message that learning is not as important or as valuable as getting the reward. When we punish our children for being 'bad' and reward them for being 'good', many will do right just for the sake of the reward. But soon they will realize that goodness is not always rewarded, nor badness always punished. Many will then grow into adults doing right or wrong when it brings them advantage, not because it is the correct thing to do.

True, we are some of the most wounded warriors in the battle of life, but we must reclaim the many gifts we brought with (in) us. Correcting the negative facets of expression is our work. We must NOT continue to allow these old models to replace our inner integrity with the notion that everyone "has a price." Merits and penalties take the fun out of life. We must learn and show our children that being good is more important than appearing good. That doing good is good in and of itself. There are many creative ways to communicate to our children that ill behavior is unacceptable. Rewards and punishment only gets temporary cooperation. As we continue to work at taking a wholistic, multidisciplinary, and multidimensional approach to our personal and cultural issues to heal ourselves, we heal our children!

As parents we are our children's first and most important teachers, and we have the greatest opportunity to make a dynamic and magnificent impact on their future. There is a new human consciousness now arriving on our planet, manifested in our children, the Indigo Children. It goes beyond established conservative thought. Let us keep an open mind regarding this wonderful new phenomenon. They come to remind us of who we truly are...Royalty!
