Activists, Performers Gather To Demand Mumia's Freedom |
The case of Mumia Abu Jamal has reached a new level as evidence never before
introduced could free the internationally celebrated, journalist and
death-row activist. To keep the pressure on the judicial system, prominent
advocates of social justice and human rights will gather for a three day
weekend to demand justice for Mumia. All events are free and open to the
public. Donations are encouraged. |
FRIDAY RALLY U.S. Representative John Conyers, Chuck D, Pam Africa, Rev.
Grayon Ellis Hagler, Englishman & Shango Band, Moya, Backyard Band, and other
celebrities, activists, spoken word, performers and long-time supporters will
rally on Friday, March 30 at First Congregational Church, 10th & G Sts., NW,
7 -10 p.m. |
SATURDAY CONFERENCE Learn how to organize for the upcoming case at a
national conference, i.e., workshops on media, developing constituent groups,
organizing skills, more. Childcare available. Lunch & possibly dinner on sale
