Talib Kareem, member of the R&B group Imajin, is making heads turn with his solo performances reminiscent of his idol Michael Jackson. Talib's debut solo release "Staccato" made people stop and look. Now he's in the studio preparing for his sophomore CD to make you listen and take note. The solo CD "Staccato" released two singles "I Know You're Thinkin'," and "Do You Wanna."

In promoting his solo CD Talib has already opened for Mya and Kelly Price. He has also performed alongside Sammie, Jazz, Sisqo and Lil ' Zane. In his support of other up-and-coming artists, Talib also has launched his own "indie" label Addlib Entertainment. He is already working with three acts, rappers Sterling, Lil' AK and Kameelah, and Jibril.

He also signed on as a sponsor of "Uplifting Minds II" Talent Competition, held recently in Baltimore, where he showed competitors ages 14-21 how a professional entertainer performs. Others who performed for the youth were Jazz and Sisqo of Dru Hill, Ruff Endz and one of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands' top 10 R&B singers Naomi. On August 24 Talib will return to Baltimore for the second phase of the "Uplifting Minds II" talent competition.
