Created two years ago, WAHMfest's mission is to help parents fulfill their objective of raising families at-home while introducing them to flexible business opportunities via a network of resources such as exhibits and on-line promotions.
"The expo will play host to thirty-five exhibitors disseminating information on, business opportunities support resources and advice from those who have been there" said Imogene Armstrong, Director of WHAMfest.
"The term 'stay-at-home-mom' is being redefined," "WAHMfest is an enormous resource for companies that want to hire highly motivated, professional workers, but don't necessarily need a 9-to-5 presence at the office." she said.
Attendance is absolutely FREE and open to the public. Children are welcome. The event will be held at The People's Community Baptist Church, 31 Norwood Rd., Silver Spring, Md. Call 301-890-4292, or email Armstrong at wahmfestmd@yahoo.com.
